Project 3: Make A Blog

Hi. Ok so for Project 3 I had to make this blog about myself and this Art 129 class. In it I have to post projects that I have done in class. I also have to customize the layout, subscribe to everyone else in the class, add links, a video, a gadget, etc.

So what do you think of my blog so far?

Typography Blog

I found this blog about typography. It's called "i love typography". Since this a class about design I figured a good reference for designers should have something to do with fonts. Basically, it's a blog about the latest news in typography, how exciting! Here's the link for those who love typography. Enjoy!

Fun Video

Here's a video anyone will enjoy. It's of The Flamings Lips performing live this past summer. It's when, front man, Wayne Coyne "crowd surfs". I would recommend checking them out if you ever get the chance.

Make sure to start with the volume low, we were right next to the speakers so it starts of really loud. Oh, and check if you see Santa anywhere.

Project 2: Photo Web Gallery

For this project I used the photographs that I retouched and made three web photo galleries using Bridge. It was an easy project, Bridge is a pretty self explanatory program and not complicated at all.

I went into Bridge, opened the picture folder in the output part, selected Web Gallery and chose a gallery from the templates. I could see how it looked if I pressed Refresh Preview. I edited the colors and kept previewing how it looked. Sometimes I previewed it in a browser to see how it looked. I edited the information that shows in the gallery. When I was done I saved the gallery to my hard drive by selecting Save To Disk.

Project 1: Retouching A Photograph

Here are some photos I retouched for Project 1. I used Photoshop for all of the retouching. The photos had folds, creases, spots, and scratches. I fixed them with a patch tool. The photos were also reddish or yellowish so I made them black and with to make the colors even.












I don't know who most of these people are, except my great grandma in the first three picture and my great aunt in the third one.

Art 129 Fall 2009

Hi. This blog is for the Web Design class I'm taking with Amy Caterina. I'm in this class because I am very interested in design. I've taken some graphic design classes but I came into this class knowing nothing about web sites and web design. So I look forward to learning how to make a functioning web site!
